A Plan is Hatched
In 24 hours, we’ve gone from despair at the state of our MarsCon prep due to illness and weather to excitement over our new “epic” plan.
FuMPFeST Promotional Video
We’re performing at the first (hopefully annual) FuMPFeST in Chicagoland, USA this summer. You will be there. Why? Because just watch the video. Your fate is determined. Book a hotel and hire a plane. Harness a team of warm-weather sled dogs on roller skates. GET IT DONE.

Wondering if you should go to MarsCon (you should) or how you can help support the artists (like us) making the trip (short for us; long for others)? Watch this video.
WHAT?! DR. DEMENTO IS COMING TO MARSCON?!!! Yer darn tootin’ he is. That’s the cherry on top of a weekend-of-funny-music sundae you get to enjoy by going to MarsCon. Register by January 31 to save $15 off the door price.
Rehearsing before the GlitchCon show. My son puts down “Boobcraft” long enough to help me out.
Finally, the way it was meant to be performed.
Mathematician Chris McKinlay hacked OKCupid to find the woman of his dreams.
This guy sounds an awful lot like the protagonist in our song “Talk Nerdy To Me”.
The FuMP January 2014 Offer
Can we talk? Of course we can. We’re buds. As members of The FuMP, we feel it’s important that you know about this tremendous deal. If you subscribe during the month of January, you get one month free. But that’s not all! You also get all of the music released on The FuMP in 2013 free as part of your subscription.
Great deal, eh? Of course it is. Get over to The FuMP today and subscribe. You’ll be supporting independently-produced funny music and allowing us funny musicians to sustain our insane coffee habits.
We are happy to announce that we are booked to perform at the brand new Twin Cities gaming convention, GlitchCon! Billed as a mini-PAX:
GlitchCon is a 3-day event filled with educational panels, workshops, tournaments, concerts, and networking opportunities for our growing [gaming] community!
GlitchCon runs January 24-26, which is just over a week away. We are scheduled to perform Saturday night at 9:00 PM in the DQ Club Room in TCF Bank Stadium. The full roster of convention guests, activities, and details are available at the GlitchCon website. Admission prices start as low as $15 for a 1-day badge, so crack open those paper route savings and make a day of it!
I love nerdrock and Possible Oscar are Kings of that genre
MarsCon 2014 is coming in less than two months, and as is tradition, we are booked to perform. We’ll be joining a bunch of new and returning acts as part of the MarsCon Dementia Music Track, the best comedy music track in the United States.
Now, we are local to the convention, so our travel expenses are minimal. But, most of the acts are travelling from points beyond, and travel costs money. This is where you come in: you can help subsidize expenses by purchasing some fine fundraiser products. We’ll let Chairman Luke Ski take it from here.

New Temporary Home
Howdy, folks! We’re moving the official band website over here to Tumblr for a bit while the old site goes into the shop for some much-needed upgrades. It’s been ages since that site has seen a major redesign. Goodness knows the interwebs have moved on without it.
In the meantime, Tumblr should serve as a lovely home for our band musings. Look for posts about upcoming shows and new projects as 2014 unfolds.
